About El Puente de Encuentros
El Puente de Encuentros (EPdE) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing healing justice and health equity across New Mexico. We envision thriving futures through community-led healing rooted in ancestral wisdom.
Through our statewide Fellowship and Professional Development training programs, we cultivate a behavioral health workforce that reflects the rich and diverse communities of New Mexico. We focus on uplifting youth and emerging professionals with the mentorship, leadership development, and meaningful support needed to transform systems from within.
As we look to the future, EPdE is guided by four strategic priorities:

Our Mission
El Puente de Encuentros bridges behavioral health pathways to co-create healing justice through partnerships, education and advocacy in New Mexico.
Our Goals
Goal 1
To support and cultivate leadership skills of culturally and linguistically diverse graduate and undergraduate students pursuing careers in the behavioral health field.

- Provide a two-semester fellowship program that connects students to leaders in the behavioral health field through seminar presentations which facilitate dialogue, intentional reflection, and community building.
- Promote leadership skills by guiding fellowship students in the development of innovative community-based projects that strive to address behavioral health issues impacting NM communities.

To develop and provide training opportunities for professionals in the behavioral health field to foster the implementation of programs, practices, and policies which are informed by research and trends impacting communities of New Mexico.
